Samsung launches its first NVMe-based portable SSD X5. The Drive comes with fastest write speed of 2,300 MB/s and is said to transfer 4K UHD video with 20GB size in 12 seconds. In addition,it is said to offer a read speed of up to 2,800 MB/s. This speed, the company says in a press release, is upto 5.2 times faster than the SATA interface portable SSDs and up to 25.5 times faster than external HDDs. It is based on Thunderbolt 3 technology, offering upto 40Gbps bandwidth. This is four times faster than USB 3.1, the press release read. The SSD X5 sports a full-metal body and comes with anti-slip bottom mat. The company claims that it can withstand accidental drops of up to two meters. To further durability of the device, it comes with Dynamic Thermal Guard technology and a heat sink to safeguard it from overheating. The drive comes with three-year warranty and is priced at Rs 27,999 for 500GB, Rs 48,999 for 1TB and Rs 97,999 for 2TB storage.
